A driver lost control of his car  and slammed into a semi-truck and triggered a four-vehicle crash that injured several and has I-95 closed to clean up fuel spill.

The vehicle that started it all was traveling southbound on I-95 just north of Commercial Blvd when he changed out of his lane and hit the semi next to him. The semi-truck driver then lost control of his vehicle, went off the road, crashed through the guardrail and ended up jackknifed in the northbound lanes.

Before coming to a stop, the tractor trailer hit two northbound vehicles.

The crash left three people with minor injuries and one person in critical condition. Florida Highway Patrol say the critical patient was the driver of the car that first collided with the semi.  The accident is a nightmare for those traveling on I-95 because of the fuel spill.   Hazmat teams on on the scene for the cleanup.

Please take the Florida Turnpike or US 1 as alternate routes and avoid I-95 around the Commercial Blvd area.

At this time it is not known if the driver of the car will be cited.
