A motorcycle collided with a pickup at about 10 a.m. at the intersection of Roseland Road and Sebastian Boulevard.

Thursday, November 9, 2017:  A motorcyclist was killed after a crash Thursday morning, according to Cmdr. John Blackledge of the Sebastian Police Department.

The victim was a 67-year-old man from Brevard County, Blackledge said.

His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The motorcycle collided with a pickup at about 10 a.m. at the intersection of Roseland Road and Sebastian Boulevard.

The intersection was closed to traffic, but all lanes were reopened by 1 p.m.

The driver of a Ford F-150, a 72-year-old man, was traveling west on Sebastian Boulevard, Blackledge said.

The motorcyclist, traveling east, attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Roseland Road and was struck by the truck, Blackledge said.

The condition of the driver of the truck was not yet known.

Several witnesses told police the truck had a green light, Blackledge said.
